Heartbeat

Well, I went to the doctor today and got to see my baby! I even got to hear and see the heartbeat! I was so excited just to know that there really is a little baby in there making me extreemly ill. It looks kinda like a bean, but I am sure it will get cuter one he/she cooks a bit longer. Thats all for now.

Hot water

Last night, I was turning the shower knobs to get the shower the exact heat that I wanted it. It takes a few seconds to get really hot and I was getting impatient. I actually said out loud "get hot please, get hot!" It was then that I thought back to the pioneers and how they did not have the luxury to take a hot shower! I thought "how in the world did they live?" "What did they do after a hard day without being able to jump in to a hot shower and relax?" I began to feel very grateful that I even have hot water to use. Sometimes I just waste all of the hot water as I let it pour over me and relax my muscles. I am so thankful that I have a house to live hot water to sit in! This is such a random post, but man, I LOVE hot water! LOVE IT!

Things I Forgot

I forgot about so many things that happen in early pregnancy. I was only pregnant 2 years ago, but it feels like a lifetime ago! Here is what I forgot:

1. How much I had to pee (even in the middle of the night)

2. How I always felt I needed to eat but felt to sick to eat anything

3. The crampiness that makes me always feel like something is wrong.

4. The PURE EXHAUSTION! It does not matter how much or how little sleep I get. I am so tired that I just want to crash all day long and I can't!

Even as I am typing this, I am so tired that I just can't wait to take a shower and go to bed. So, Goodnight!

Hilarious

Last night, we bought Kennedy a potty. I know she is too young, but I just wanted to get used to her sitting on it and she knows what it is for. She points to it and says "poo poo pee pee". So, we sat her on it last night and she started using her whole body to push as hard as she could. It was so hilarious! Her whole body would shake becuse she was using all of her muscles. We laughed and she would do it again. I am so happy that I got the "grunt" look on camera. I just need to get it on video now. I hope that I can at least get Kennedy used to the idea of potty training before the new baby comes, cause I DO NOT want 2 kids in diapers for long. If you have any advice, let me know.

SNOW!

As Kennedy and I left for work this morning, it was snowing pretty hard. Kennedy pointed and said "snow, snow". I had no idea that she even knew that word. She just loves the snow. She loves to leave her foot prints in it, throw it and eat it. (gross I know!)I just took a few pictures of her playing in the snow and wanted to post them. Also, one more funny thing happened tonight. Kennedy's grandma and cousin were here and her little cousin fell and started to cry. Grandma picked him up and loved him. Seeing this, Kennedy wanted her glory. She laid down on the floor and started to fake cry and looked to make sure that her grandma was looking. When she looked, Kennedy grabbed her head like she was hurt and awaited to be held. She is too funny. Who knew that a 17 month old could play you like that? Not me! Oh, how fun it will be when she is jealous of a new baby in the house.

strange facts TAG!

Here are 5 strange facts about me. I am tagging everyone who reads this because I would love to know the strange things about you too!

1. I only eat half of my french fries and leave the other half in a pile. If I am extra hungry, I will eat the other half.

2. I have insomnia a lot and sometimes (rarely) do not sleep at all!

3. I have a birthmark on my inner knee that looks like a baby foot print. When I was younger, I thought that it was the mark of royalty. haha!

4. I used to hitchhike for a ride when I went to BYU-Hawaii. I look back and wonder why I was so STUPID! I did not even care who picked me up!

5. I was in the Colgat Country Showdown in 2005. I made it to the state finals before being kicked off!

Your turn! I hope you do this so that i have some good reading material!

I am such a blig slacker lately...but new job+sick kid+church calling+"other stuff"= no time for blogging or my other new hobby, sewing. I am sad cause I bought the cutest fabric, cut out the pattern and that is as far as I have gotten on Kennedy's new dress. By the time I am finished, she will be grown out of it! I wish I were better at time management. I think that is my new goal.
And, just for fun, here is a picture of my hilarious child pretending she in on the phone.

Sick baby=SLEEPLESSNESS

Oh, the joys of motherhood! Kennedy is sick...yet again...and was up from 2-5:00am coughing her poor little lungs out. It must have hurt cause she cried out a few times after a spout of coughs. It is so sad (for her and for me). Cause if she does not sleep, we don't sleep! Here's to wishing for a good nights sleep tonight! Poor girl was so sick, she thought that the cat was her pillow!
