Happy Birthday Kennedy Grace!

Happy birthday sweet girl! I love you more than you know! I am so grateful to have you in my life. You are so full of energy and love that it is hard for you to contain it all. You are so smart and cute and wonderful! I hope you have many, many more birthdays that we can share with you. We love you baby girl! Here are some pictures from your first birthday party last night. You had lots of family and friends here. You ate BBQ, opened MANY presents, and ate a whole cupcake all by yourself. You even got to go skinny dipping! You had such a great day!

The kid knows what she wants!

Invitation

If you are a friend of mine or family, you are invited to Kennedy's 1st birthday party tomorrow night. If you don't have my information, send me a comment and I will give it to you! I had to edit the invite so that some psycho doesn't show up. Ha!

Early Birthday Party

Since we are in California, we had an early birthday party for Kennedy with our family. She had so much fun eating cake and ice cream, opening presents and playing with her new toys. I have no idea how I am going to get her presents back to Utah, but I'll figure something out. I was happy that we were able to let everyone see her before she turned one. Her first birthday party is this Saturday and her actual birthday is on Sunday. I can't believe it!!!

Warning: The next clip may not be suitable for young viewers. After the party was the "after-party" in the hot tub. Kennedy danced naked to some techno music. Introducing... "Babies Gone Wild"!

A Day at the Beach

My husband surprised me on Sunday and told me that I was going to San Diego! I got here yesterday and we went straight to the beach. Kennedy had a great time discovering sea weed and the taste of sand, but she was not too fond of the water. I think it was too loud for her. As long as she kept a safe distance from the waves, she was fine. It was a great day and I only got a little burnt. Let me know if you are in San Diego/Vista area and we can play! Also, I had a problem with picking just 1 picture, so I am posting a "few"!

Sales and Hair

I have not had a haircut in about 2 years. I have been wearing my hair in a ponytail for most of that time. Well, last night, we went to Gardner's Village for a big sale...and when I hear SALE, I am so there. It turns out that even the spa was having a sale. Every service was $10.00! I am talking massages, facials, pedicures, haircuts, waxing, everything! So, I decided to finally get a haircut. I basically let the girl do whatever she wanted and I LOVE it! The pictures do not do it justice. It is short and layered and razored to make it have more volume. I am so happy that it is easy and that I can wear it down again. It's great to have a change.

And, as promised...Blessings 13 and 14.

Blessing 13 is....Informational Blogs!
I am obsessed lately with informational blogs such as how to do hair. I love one imparticular called Shorty Rockin' it Short because Kennedy has short hair still. I look everyday to get ideas. Here is a cute one I tried yesterday. I know it's not a spiritual blessing, but technology is a blessing right? Ha!
Blessing 14 is a spiritual blessing. I is the comfort that comes from the holy ghost. Every time I feel as though the world is about to collapse around me, I pray for peace. I love that I can do that. Even if things don't work out the way I would like them to or in my time frame, I know that the Lord takes care of me and knows my needs. It brings great comfort to me!

Summer Fun

Christian waas off work for a few days, so we decided to have some fun and take Kennedy to the park to play in the creek. It was so cold, but it felt so good! Kennedy loved it and did not want to get out. After swimming, we just let her play around in the grass and find great "toys" like sticks to play with. It was a lot of fun.

This picture is hilarious! First of all, it is when she first woke up so she looks white trash with her bed hair and no pants. Second of all, she loves this basket (even though it is the basket from our dishwasher). She carries it around like she's little red riding hood or something. I had to take this picture!

This picture is also pretty funny. Kennedy loves to watch movies now, halleluja! I usually give her a bowl of Cheerios and she sits and watches. But, on this day, she decided to lay on her belly to watch. It made her look so grown up. I love it!

Lastly, I know I am behind like 2-3 weeks on my blessings, so I will have to catch up on them when I post again on Sunday.

Your memories!

I have seen this on practically everyone's blogs and decided to follow. I have left many of you my memories and would like to hear yours.
So, here are the rules:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! If you don't have a google ID you can post a comment and click anonymous as your identity -- just make sure to sign your name so I know who you are!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.It should be funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you (or if you don't have a blog I will e-mail you my memory!).

Proud of myself

I was looking online for a cute shirt for Kennedy's first birthday. Well, they were all like 20-$25.00 and I am not made of money soooooo....I made my one myself! I just went to the craft store and bought everything I needed for $14.oo (including the shirt). Then I just ironed everything on and I LOVE how it turned out. I just had to post it because I am not a crafty or creative person and I was proud of myself for doing this. I can't wait til she wears it!

Husbands! AHHHHHH!

Okay, this is a venting post. If you want a picture post, please see the post below this. So, my husband really likes to L.A.R.P. For those of you who don't know what that means...it means live action role playing. In other words....Nerd city! So he runs around and hits people with swords made of duct tape screaming things like "+20" and "God save the Queen!" It is so nerdy and he LOVES IT! He begs me to go play all the time. Did I know he did this before I married him? NO! Sometimes he asks me to come play and I of course say no. Everyone seems to smell of B.O. and eggs. They all dress up and take on fake accents. Sometimes, my brother and I watch just to laugh. Seriously! Do any of your husbands do anything this nerdy???
To see what I am talking about, click here. (my husband is actually in this video!)

Dark Knight

Have any of you seen "The Dark Knight"? If so, you will agree that my child looks like the Joker. Other than that, I just have some left over pictures to share from last week.
Her crazy hair in the tub
Her soft bunny that she loves!

To prove I have been to "Old Faithful"

Photo Shoot

In honor of Kennedy turning 1 on August 31, we did a little photo shoot and got a few cute ones. It is hard because she is so active and all over the place! Also, I will be sending invites for her first birthday so all of you who read this blog, leave me a comment with your address and please come! I'm still not sure when or where but probably on a Saturday. Anyway, here are a couple of the pictures!

tag! Im it!

melanie tagged me and I am supposed to list 6 quirks that I have. I am posting from my phone again so expect errors. ; )

1. Ever since kindergarten, I have had to be at the front of the line. I'm not kidding! Even if I'm just with my family and we are in line at a restauraunt or amusement park, I need to be in front. To this day, if someone gets in front of me, I have the urge to say " no cuts, no buts, no alligator guts!"

2. When I am concentrating, I chew my tongue. My husband pointed it out to me and ever since then, I realized that I do it all the time! I bite my lip a lot too.

3. I never take showers... Nasty hu? No, I only take baths. I love relaxing in the bath every night and reading a book. The only time that I take showers is if I am at a hotel. I refuse to sit on a nasty tub that strangers feet have stood in.

4. I peel my nails. I know it sound sick, and it is! I peel the layers off of my nails. One by one until they are so thin I could blow them away. That's why I like to get them painted. I am less likely to peel them if they are pretty. Plus the polish makes them harder to peel.

5. I am super obsessed with 80's shows that I watched as a child. I go on ebay and buy old shows like " punky brewster" seasons and " the hugga bunch". I actually still watch them too! They sell " kidsongs" at wal mart for $1 and I bought all of them yesterday. There is something about being a kid that was magical and I like to relive it through. Tv!

6.I am probably the most forgetful person you will ever meet. In fact, I actually won the " miss forgetful" award 2. Years in a row in high school! I forget stuff for my baby all the time. Diapers, wipes, pacifiers, extra clothes. You name it and I have forgotten it!

So, that's it! I now tag libby, kelli and lanette!
