It's finished!!

Yay! The video I have been promising is finally finished! It is the first video I have EVER made so it has a lot of mistakes, but I will get better as I make more. Push pause on my music to hear the video. Also, I just watched it and it is fuzzy. I have no idea why! If you can not see the box to play the video, click on the highlighted word below that says "Growing up". It will take you to the video posted on Vimeo.

It is so great to be in warm weather! I can go on walks with Kennedy in the stroller, play outside in trees and actually feel warmth for a change! Hopefully I will bring the warmth back to Utah with me! Oh, and my video is now finished. I am just downloading music. I will post it tomorrow. Told you guys I would post a lot this week. Hope I am not boring anyone yet. Ha! Kennedy in her first tree!

Playing ouatside is fun!

As some of you already know, I am visiting my family in Texas with Kennedy. We were supposed to go home today, but we changed our flight to stay an extra week. It will be fun, but we both miss Christian (aka, da da) Yes, Kennedy now says ma ma ma when she wants me. She just started saying da da yesterday. Too bad Christian missed it! I made a video of Kennedy crawling, but I am not too great at editing videos yet so I will try to get some help from my bother and post that this week.

So far in Texas, we have eaten good food, played with friends and family, went shopping at a new outlet mall, looked at amazing model homes for my parents and have gone to the museum! It has been a lot of fun! Kennedy even started standing on her own here! She stands up and gets a look on her face like "I can't believe I am doing this!" She will be walking soon! She is growing up way too fast.

I have a lot of time on my hands while everyone is at work and school, so I will be posting a lot with lots of pictures this week. Also, Some people I know have started something really cool on their blogs where they write something they are thankful for once a week for a year. So starting now, I am going to do that as well.

Week 1. I am thankful for my husband- he works hard so that I can stay home and take care of Kennedy. He has always made sure that we are taken care of and I love him for that.

Why I miss my husband

Okay, Christian will hate me forever, but since I am in Texas and he can't hurt me, I decided to post this video. My husband is soooooo crazy...that's why Kennedy and I miss him so much. He is very entertaining! After all, we are supposed to have much fun and laughter in this life according to good old Gordon B. Hinkley. Either tomorrow or the next day, i will be posting a new video I made of Kennedy crawling!
okay, anyone know why the vieo plays when I preview my blog but not now? I amnot very good with computers and this is a funny clip!

family faves and non faves

carli loves: reading, playing with Kennedy, doing puzzle books, watching tv when she can, going out with her hubby, sleeping, warm weather, being with friends, chicken strips with honey mustard, shopping, blogging, movies and family!

Christian loves: me, playing computer games, playing drums, wrestling with Kennedy, being crazy, movies, chocolate covered tootsie rolls, dr. Pepper, reading books about wars and playing with me and kenna.

Kennedy loves: eating everything, crawling, standing, bath time, daddy's funny faces and noises, cuddling with mommy, jumping in her bouncer seat, dancing to music, making funny noises, examining things, getting tossed in the air, smiling and being around mom and dad.

Carli dislikes: being tickled, early mornings, cold weather, extreemly dumb people, hard rock music, mushrooms, clowns, getting sick, cleaning up clutter, noisy neighbors, our car, gas prices and hilary Clinton.

Christian dislikes: flying, heights, mayonaise, our car, people who don't pay their rent, rap music, people with really bad breath and illegal aliens mooching off of tax paying Americans.

Kennedy dislikes: falling, bumping her head on stuff, being in her crib, being put in her car seat after a long day, sippy cups and poopie diapers.

20th post!

Alright. So maybe its not a big deal to anyone else, but I have stuck to blogging and it is huge for me to stick to anything! So here I am celebrating my 20th post by writing 20 totally random things about me. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed thinking back about these sometimes funny memories from my crazy life!
1. In 5th grade, I printed 1000 pages of the letter k in the school computer lab just to see if it would work. Well, it did and the whole 5th grade class could not go to recess until someone confessed to the crime. I still remember how hot my cheeks were and how fast my heart was beating when I confessed. The teacher cried cause she said she did not expect such a good girl to do that. I felt horrible!
2. I used to want to be nancy Kerrigan (the ice skater) I wrote about her in my diary almost every day in 1994
3. I have seen Reba mcentire in concert 7 times!
4. I waited on the phone line for 3 hours to talk to Reba on a radio show. I prayed the whole 3 hours that I would get through. I never did and I cried to her cd afterward.
5. My friend veronica and I once made pickle, peanut butter, salsa cookies for the nusery kids when we had to babysit during a relief society event. We were so mean! Now we have kids and feel terrible for it! It is fun to laugh about though.
6. I wrote a story about my grandpa mckeon in 7th grade. My teacher thought it was so good that she sent it to a national paper. It was published... So I guess I'm a published author! ; )
7. I have met both Richard G. Scott, and James E. Faust and shook their hands.
8. My first cd was Boyz II Men
9. Most guys I have dated at one time: 4 (don't judge me) ha ha
10. I jumped off of a 50 foot waterfall in Hawaii. It was scary, but amazing!
11. I was hit by a jet ski 4 yeas ago and have a permanent dent in my calf now. I don't have feeling in it either!
12. I have a picture of me on top of the world trade center 3 months before it collapsed.
13. In junior high, some kid got sent to detention after talking back to the teacher. The teacher then asked "does anyone else want to go to detention? If so, just say it." I then said " I want to go" she sent me to the office and I got to miss math! Then I got grounded. (I went through a rebellious stage)
14. I can play the violin, but I hate playing in public.
15. I am deathly afraid of clowns! Something about them is so creepy! Anyone could be under that makeup. I saw one in a haunted house once and l laid on the floor and started kicking my legs frantically. They finally had to turn on the lights to let me out. I am better now, but they still freak me out.

16. I once ran into a screen door at a party. It totally ruined my "coolness factor".
17. My best friend, emily, and I forced some guys to go out with us. We showed up at their apartment and said "we are going to a party. Come on!" they said no but we did not leave until they gave in. It was hilarious! I think they ended up having fun though.
18. My mom woke up at 5 am every morning to do my hair...p.s. I was in high school!
19. Once, I tried to go to a party while I was grounded. I told my parents I was going to work and left to go to dinner with friends. While I was there, I saw my parents (at the same restauraunt) and I had to slip out of the back door. Thinking they had seen me, I went to where I worked (Target)in case they showed up. My parents DID show up at Target and I had to pretend to work for almost 2 hours (unpaid) til my parents left! I missed the party and went home. I think my parents did it on purpose to teach me a lesson. ha ha!
20. I first told my husband that I loved him in front of Snow White's wishing well at Disneyland. Now we have to take a picture there every time we go.

Well, hope you all got through that without getting too bored. At least it will be fun for me to read someday. Maybe I'll even do another one for my 50th blog...or not!

It has been a while since I last wrote. Part of the reason is because I have been busy chasing a very curious and busy baby! She is seriously all over the place. If
I turn away for 2 seconds she is making a mess of the cat water or getting lost under the coffee table. I am not used to chasing her around quite yet, but I am learning FAST! Besides that, the most exciting part of the week was winning a movie making program on ebay! I got it for WAY cheap and am so excited to start making videos to put up on this blog. I even found our video camera charger so I am all set! Be on the lookout for cute videos. YAY! Last Saturday, I went to the Baby Expo, and I went CRAZY to say the least! I got Kennedy a cute package of Pixie Trumpette socks, some baby legs, a onsie from Rachelli, and some cute pictures from a professional photographer! Kennedy's grandma Linda bought her a cute Zoobie Pet with her name on it too. It was a lot of fun to buy cute stuff for her! I am sure I will think of more stuff to write later. That is what I get for waiting so long to write a new post!
