Vegas!

Christian and I were able to go to Vegas this weekend...without Kennedy! It was kind of sad to leave her because she was sick, but she did okay without us for a few days. We drove down and had to stop at Jack in the box in Saint George since there are none near Salt Lake. Then, we had to have In n' Out as soon as we got to Vegas because it is my favorite place and I feel good enough to eat lots of food now!

The Whale...haha. I am 4 months preggo so at least I have an excuse.
Another tummy shot
We stayed at the South Point Resort which is a new hotel. It was really nice! It had a lot of restaurants to eat at and a nice pool and hot tub. The best part is that they gave us $25.00 in free slot play and we won enough money off of that to pay for all of our food while we were there! Lucky hu? We did not even have to use any of our own money. We had fun laying out by the pool, hanging out in an amazing hot tub with a waterfall, walking the strip and shopping for souvenirs. Oh, and the food! So yummy!
Better this side than the other.

We took WAY too many pictures, so I will only post a few of them. We had a great time and I hope we can do it again soon. It was so nice and warm and relaxing! Last but not least, if you missed the post before this, I am having a giveaway on my blog. You get to choose any one item from my blog or my Etsy shop if you win. And you get an extra entry for spreading the word on your own blog or following Kennabootique. It is going on until May 3rd at midnight to hurry!

Have I mentioned that I LOVE the weather?

Oh, and I find out whether I am having a boy or a girl on May 14th! I can hardly wait. So until then, I put up a survey on my side bar to see if you think it is a boy or a girl

Wicked Again

I just realized that I never posted about what happened last Sunday night. (Easter Sunday) Since I tried to buy tickets to Wicked back in December and was not able to get them before they sold out, my brother and I decided to go see if we could win tickets. We knew that the odds were slim, but we REALLY wanted to see it. (For those who were wondering, yes, I saw it last Summer in L.A., but I liked it so much that I had to see it again!) So, we lined up 2 hours before the show and put our names into a giant cauldron. There were SO many people there and they only drew 10 names to win $25.00 tickets. They called the first 4 names and I was getting nervous that we were not getting chosen...and then...they called my name! I was so excited that I jumped around like an idiot! To make a long story short, we got to see the show and it was AMAZING, just like the last time I saw it. Wicked will be here until May 3rd so if you want a chance at winning, just line up 2 hours before any show and try out your luck.
My favorite song from Wicked "Defy Gravity"

Besides that, Kennedy has been a lot of fun lately. She is OBSESSED with Tinkerbell. Each day, she has to watch the movie (while holding her Tinkerbell doll) and dress up in her Tinkerbell outfit, wings and all! Everyday she has to watch it at least once, and sometimes more often. She is so stinkin' cute so I can't tell her no. It is her first interest and I find it adorable. I still have not taken any pictures of her in her costume, but here are some other pictures of her watching Tinkerbell today.

My new project

I decided to try my hand at sewing baby slings. I went out and bought some cheap fabric to try it on, and after all of my mistakes (yes, there were many) I tried it out on my designer fabric. Here is how it turned out.

Notice my unbuttoned jeans because they don't fit me anymore. Well, I really liked the sling, except for that I messed up a bit causing there to be an unwanted pouch in the fabric. Hopefully, after more practice, I will get good enough to make and sell these. For now, I will enjoy the one that I made today!

ETSY!

Hey everyone! I finally have my shop open on Etsy! The down side is that I thought my username did not matter so I picked something random. Now, nobody can look up my shop name, Kennabootique! So upset! I may just start a new account after the items I put up are sold. Then my new account will carry my new items. Anyway, to see some items, click HERE.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone. We did something this year that we will never be able to do . We did not buy a single Easter item. No candy, no eggs no anything! And it was so nice to just be able to enjoy Easter for what it really is. The reason I say we won't be able to do this again is because next year, Kennedy will know better and we will have to do the egg hunts and baskets. Don;t get me wrong, I love that stuff too. It was just nice to not do it this year. Hope you all have a great Easter as well!

A really cool site to try!

Thanks to Becky, I joined a website called youdata. I was skeptical at first to hear that all you had to do was sign up, click on ads (viewing them is actually optional as you can just x it out if you choose to) and get paid to your paypal account weekly! I signed up today and made $4.50 in 3 minutes just for clicking on ads. They say that the more people that sign up, the more ads you will get per day, so I am passing this link on to you all. It literally took me 5 minutes to sign up. They then send you an activation code to your e mail and cell phone and enter it, and then you are signed up! Next, you click on your ads and get money. That is it! There are only a limited amount of ads per day, but hey, money for doing basically nothing sound pretty cool to me. Plus, if your friends sign up, you get $1.00 too! So, go for it! Just click HERE to sign up and start getting paid!

Butt cracks and SPRING!

Like the title? Ya, you may not want to look at the next couple of pictures if the word makes you squirm. First off, Spring feels like it is finally here and we are loving it! We spend most of our time in the backyard playing with the hose and laying under the apricot tree. Well, yesterday, Christian had the grand idea of making a little lake in our backyard using the tiller to make a large hole and the hose to fill it up. Kennedy jumped right in...with all of her clothes on of course.
That was not so bad. Now the next one may offend some of you. We took Kennedy to McDonald's after her bath to get a cherry pie and run some of her energy off. As we were running around, Christian and I saw THIS and had to get a picture.
NASTY HU? Well, that is all the butt cracks we have for this post. But, I do have a few cute pictures of Kennedy playing in the backyard. We have some really pretty daffodils growing and she loves to pick them and smell them. I hope these make up for the disgusting butt pictures. haha!

Favorite Quote Today

As I was watching conference, so much of it seemed to be about the hard economic times and not to fear. I really LOVED what President Monson said at the end of his talk "Our future is as bright as our faith" or something very close to that. It is so true! I guess that is all I wanted to write. I loved his talk so much!

Where are you Spring???

Every day this week, I have hoped for ONE sunny or at least warmer day. It is April! Well, no such luck. It SNOWED every day this week! WHY??? Where are you spring? I need you. We need you to come so that we can go for walks, play outside, go to the zoo, bask in your rays of sunshine and wear shorts and t-shirts and flip flops. I actually just looked at the 7 day forecast and it is supposed to be 68 warm degrees on Tuesday. I hope this is not a cruel joke because I will be so mad if Tuesday comes and it is not AT LEAST 68 degrees.

In other spring news, my mom sent Kennedy 3 Easter dresses! I now have to choose one for her to wear on Easter Sunday. I Think I really like dress #2. What about you?
