The need to post

Today, I just feel the need to post/vent! My dad is in the hospital for the 3rd time in 2 weeks! They think it is crones disease, but the medicine is not helping and he is even sicker! I guess all I can ask for are prayers. It just seems like this is happening at a time when I REALLY can not handle any more stress! So for my sanity, here are some cute pics that make me smile!

Kennedy

I know, I already posted today, but this post is mostly for me. Kennedy has been doing some funny stuff lately and I just want to write it down so that I can remember it. This is her latest trick.

She thinks it is so funny too! Today, at church, she made everyone laugh because she kept trying to hold things between her chin and her chest. First, it was just paper. She thought she was so cool when she did that, so then she tried a book. I feel bad for the speaker in Sunday school, because everyone was laughing at Kennedy! She knows that when people laugh, she should do it over and over. So, that is just what she did! Also, she has a talent for finding money! It is so great that she can do this! Every time Christian or I turn around, she has a new dollar bill in her hand! I am not kidding! Here is proof!
She also dances NON stop...especially to her Wiggles videos. I need to find my video camera and post it because I am sure that I am not the only one who will find it amusing. She even dances when there is no music on at all! Last little tid bit. She HAS to have music on when I change her diaper. I keep a radio next to her changing pad so that she can rock out while I change her. If I forget to turn it on, she will for sure remind me! That's all the bragging for now...except for that she learned some new signs this week. haha! All I need now is a bumper sticker that says "my kid is cuter/better than your kid!" KIDDING!<

What the heck happened to FALL???

I love fall. I love the cooler weather, the changing colors and Halloween! When I moved to Utah, everyone said "I love it here because you get all 4 seasons!" Well, I want to know WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO FALL??? This week, it was really hot out. I took Kennedy for a walk to the park and was sweating the whole way there and back. I thought to myself "man, it will sure be nice when the fall weather comes." So then, last night it SNOWS!!! And it stuck! I said I was a fan of fall, but I HATE winter! I think we missed a season out here and I want it back!

Seriously TALENETED!

My brother, Austin, just graduated high school this year and is amazingly talented! Not only is he an AMAZING photographer/artist (see a few pics below), but he is also an AMAZING singer! I have THIS VIDEO which is bad quality, but it sounds great none the less. If you have time, listen to just a minute of it and see. I am trying to convince him to try out for American Idol next year...but he needs to hear it from someone besides me! haha! Anyway, I just wanted to do a post about his talents. I wish I could take a photograph like him! He lives in Vista, CA. So if anyone there ever wants a great picture, let me know! He just started a blog HERE! His drawings are amazing too!

The Tooth MONSTER!

Okay moms! I need some help...or at least some support! It is now 11:00 pm and my child is awake and in terrible pain from her teeth. I tried Motrin and it does not seem to help! All day today, she rubbed at her cheeks and cried. She clung to me for dear life and would not let anyone else look at her...let alone TOUCH her! I feel so bad for her, but I don't know what to do! I'm just letting her lay on the couch and watch TV because it is the only thing that will keep her from screaming! Does anyone have any tips? How long does this terrible teething last???

Blessings #17-20

Yes, I know! I am terrible at the weekly blessings posts! But I will not quit! I am determined to write down all 52 blessings for the year. And with it being conference weekend and all, I thought of many things to be grateful for!

#17...Relief Society

If you are not LDS, relief society is just what it says. It is a network of wonderful women that help you to find relief in this busy, stressful world. They bring you dinner if you are ill, come visit you to see how you are doing and provide a place to go where you can feel loved and accepted. I am so grateful that I belong to such a great organization!

#18...A prophet of God!

I can not stress enough how grateful I am to have a living prophet in these days. What would I do without his wisdom and love? There are no words I have that can express how amazing it is to have such a faithful servant of God to lead the church!

#19...Temples!

I admit that I have not gone to the temple as often as I should. But, every time I go, I feel great peace from the outside world. It is wonderful that I have somewhere to go that reminds me of the covenants that I have made. In fact, my 4 year anniversary is on Wednesday, and there is nothing that I would rather do than to go do sealings to remind me of mine to my husband.

#20...Conference

Maybe I love conference because I can listen or watch in in my P.J.'s and I don't have to worry about chasing Kennedy around the church for 3 hours! Or maybe I love it because it seems like some of the talks are made just for me to hear! The talks always make me want to be better than I am...and hopefully I can be better.
