The terrible, horrible, no good very bad day!

Anyone remember that book? Well, that was pretty much my life today...but worse! So, we are going on vacation to meet my family in Las Vegas. Since we are leaving early Monday morning, I went to get a safety check and oil change on the car to make sure that we could make it safely. Not only did they say we needed new brakes (which I already was planning on paying for) but we also needed a new tire, a new tie rod a new belt and an alignment. I only paid for the first 2 and decided to get a second opinion before spending the $700.00 they wanted out of me. So, I went to another place where they told me that I for sure needed the one tire and tie rod. I guess I am young and am a girl so that lady told me I needed a $130.00 tire. I paid for that and left. As soon as my husband found out I paid that much for a tire, he went back with my in laws and asked for a cheaper tire. Come to find out, they had put the cheap tire on and just charged me for the expensive tire!!! WHAT THE HECK??? I am so glad they figured that out. So, they could not do the tie rod today and said they we should not drive to Vegas until it is fixed. To make a long story short (kinda) we now are renting a car and taking that to Vegas basically doubling the cost of our trip before it has even been made! Does not sound like the worst day yet hu? Ha! Well, before we decided to rent a car, we asked my brother if we could switch him cars for the week. I was so excited when he came and our stuff fit in the trunk. Then, Christian tried to put Kennedy's HUGE car seat in his back seat and the side of it broke!!! Now we had no car to drive and a broken car seat and a car to fix! How could it get any worse...my brother bought Kennedy a beautiful, huge snow globe with snow white in it. It plays music and has glitter in it. Kennedy was being so gentle with it and was in love with it. I told her it was time to put it away because it was expensive and I did not want it to get broken. I put it up on our window ledge very carefully. It happened to barely tap the glass of our window and I heard a pop. All of the sudden, water and glitter was pouring out all over our wedding picture and all over the floor! Kennedy was so sad and I felt horrible that I broke it after she was so careful with it. After it was all cleaned up, I made Kennedy a smoothie to make her feel better. A few minutes later, it spilled all over the couch and the floor! I seriously thought I was going to cry! It was really the worst day and I can not wait to go to sleep and start a new day tomorrow.

OH MY GOOOOOOSH! Your day just sounded made up. That many crappy things could not have happened. I would totally make a HUGE stink about the tire. Talk about dishonest business practices! I would sue them! And so sooo sad about the snow globe. And how does a car seat just break like that??? SOOOOOOOO SORRY! :(

That is one of the worst days I've ever heard about! (Although I do love that book...)

I hope everything works out for you. I'm sorry it was the day from hell...

Oh man! THat is a REALLY BAD DAY. So I've decided that car places (especially Big O Tires) rips you off. We have had SO MANY BAD EXPERIENCES with THEM screwing up and we pay out the wazoo for it. That is so frustrating! Hope everything else goes smoothly for your road trip tomorrow!
