Alone Time

On Wednesday night, Christian and I had our first night alone without Kennedy! I looked forward to it for a long time, but when I finally got to snuggle up in the large, comfortable King sized bed, I felt sad that my baby was not with us! Isn't that sad? I knew she was in good hands with her grandparents, but I just worried that she would be scared to wake up and not have me there! I was wrong. She did just fine without us and that made me a little sad too. What a big girl she is getting to be. We still had a great time at the Anniversary Inn. No, it was not our anniversary. It was just a night to get away together. We had an amazing suite with a balcony, hot tub, sparkling cider and cheesecake! It was nice to relax in the hot tub in our room and watch a movie without interruptions. I also sat out on the balcony til 1:00 am reading the last of Eclipse. I am regretting reading the whole book so fast because now I have to wait for the next book to come out! TORTURE!

Christian pretending to be the President. : )

View from the balcony (we look mad, but we're just being weird)

Me on the presidential seal!

Besides out trip, not much new to report. Kennedy is so close to walking that it scares me! I will have to post a funny video of her playing with the cats later too. She was cracking her self up and it was hilarious! Oh, last but not least, we are celebrating my birthday tomorrow (Saturday) at 6:00 pm at Outback steakhouse in sandy. You are all invited if you want to come. My real birthday is not until Tuesday, but I thought a weekend would be better for everyone. Call me if you can make it!

Hey! I didn't know you had a blog either... or that we were on Heather's list....We should hang out. And by the way, that's awesome you had some alone time!

wow, I'm surprised you guys waited to long for an adult night out! Don't worry though, it's the same way for all SAH moms the first time you leave your baby. Bryan and I went to a monster truck rally when Lincoln was like 5 or 6 months old, and I was a bag of nerves the whole time! But obviously he got over it, so I did too!

I love Anniversary Inn! When we lived in Salt Lake we would sometimes call that day to see if there were any good deals for that night... and we got great last minute ones! We've stayed at the Enchanted Forest and African Jungle. So much fun! And the Parfaits and Cheesecake are Divine! Aw man... I wanna go back! :D
