I Love my Children...

I don't, however, love how much they contribute to the laundry around here! AHHHHH!

Oh, don't worry. This is only HALF of it!

Valentine's Day

He always squints!
I think that we had a little TOO much fun this Valentine's Day. We went out with some friends to Timpanyaki, ate really good food and had the best time. It was awesome to be with the man I loved as well as the friends that I love!

Kennedy has her first school Valentine's day party today. She decorated all of her cards for her friends and got to bring a teddy beat to school for the big party. She was really excited about it, so I finally remembered to take a couple of pictures to remember the moment. She really wanted a picture with her teacher. This is Miss Shawna Love, and Kennedy definitely loves her!

I also wanted to take a second to remember my grandpa, Max Mckeon. He was killed on Valentines day when I was a little girl. He was the greatest grandpa that a girl could ever ask for and we all miss him very much. LOVE YOU GRANDPA!!!

Jammin' Out

Christian's band, Rev Mayhem, has been playing quite a bit lately. They played last week at Liquid Joe's and it was so much fun! A bunch of our friends came out and some of their "groupies". I posted a couple of videos, but they are kind of short. If you want to hear more of them, you can find them on itunes by typing in their OLD band name "Cyclops Kid". Their next show is Feb. 25th at the Murray Theater at 8:00. Tickets are $8.00 at the door! To see the videos, go to my facebook page Carli McKeon Webb

A day in the life...and other stuff

It is sad when I have gone a month or two without blogging, and have manage to take ZERO new pictures or videos of my children. But, what is really sad is that I had not time to take pictures or blog, but I made time to watch 2 hours of The Bachelor every Monday night. Man, that show is like a train wreck. I just can't look away! Every season, I tell myself "Now Carli, you have way more important things to do than to watch that trash." I tell myself that I will never watch it again, and then I DO! EVERY SINGLE SEASON! Can I just say one thing about The Bachelor while I'm on the subject? Of course I can! It's my blog! That Michelle is a piece of work! I am just glad that they don't tell you she id LDS. If they did, that would be pretty embarrassing for me. Wait...I just told everyone. Oh well. At least millions of people don't read my blog.

On to other important/not so important things. Working at a day care is CRAZY! And I mean CRAZY! Today, I had one of those days where everything that can go wrong, did go wrong. Since my kids were sick last week, I took a few days off. That means that I had to make up the days. Today, I made up a day all by myself with 7 children. Here is sort of how that went.
- I try to take the kids outside so that I don't go crazy. Stupid me does not realize that it is extra MUDDY outside. After seeing mud all over shoes, pants and hands, I call them in and tell them to take off muddy clothing outside. While I am helping to strip down some children, others run in with muddy clothing and manage to track mud all through the house.
- I make lunch while kids are sitting and banging on the table for their food. All flustered, I drop a sandwich on the floor, mayo side up of course, and have to make a new one. While I am making lunch, my baby is playing in the toilet...which another child forgot to flush!! EWWWWW!!!
- Someone poops their pants
-I get lunch on the table-FINALLY
-Kid spills their milk all over the floor
- While cleaning up milk, another child comes to the door. While I am checking that child in, my baby pushes a chair to the counter and is on to of it about to knock over an expensive cake table thing. I run over and grab it just in time.
- Another kids poops their pants.
- I lay babies down for naps. While I am doing that, a kids is screaming he has to go pee! I have to leave a screaming baby upstairs to take this kid potty. He drips all over the floor. Lovely.
- Put babies to sleep.
- Come down to see a girl on the table spinning the chandelier around.
-See the mess from lunch and start to clean it
-Kids start fighting in the other room.
- Put big kids down for nap
-Kids fight over where they want to sleep
I sanitize all toys in bleach water and Clorox wipe all surfaces while kids rest.
-I read kids a book about an alligator that lives under a kids bed. The rest of the day, one little boy tells me how scared he is of the alligator under his bed and that his dad will have to kill it. He tells every kid in day care to be careful of the alligator under their beds or it will eat them...and it will hurt really bad.
- I gave one girl the wrong pair of socks. The other mom was not so happy that I gave her daughters socks to someone else.
- A girl gets slapped in the face. I have to tell her mom why her cheek is all red.

That is not everything that happened in an 11 hour period, but you get the idea. Well, more later. I need to lay down before I have a heart attack!

Christmas..and other things

I am really becoming a blogger failure. I used to try to post about twice a week. Now, it is more like every other month! I have just been working really long hours lately and my life is just now starting to get back to normal. I actually started on a 30 day organizing schedule today to get my house back in order. I kind of cheated and did about 3 days worth tonight, but IT FELT GOOD! All I can say is thank goodness for 3M hooks! They save my life! I hung all of my pictures, my clock, my calendar and my purse/keys all with the help of those amazing hooks! Our walls are rock solid, so nails do not work in them. I think the living room wall looks quite cute now!

Now for Christmas. It was a little different this year because it is the first year that my family was not here. It was fun though because we were able to do our own traditions and have Christmas morning with just our little family. Kennedy was SO excited this year which made things really fun. We watched Home Alone on Christmas eve, and then Kennedy said "I want to go to bed now so Santa will come!" We put out some peanut butter bars (since I forgot to make cookies) and some milk and she went to bed.

At about 8:00am, Kennedy came into our room and said "wake up mommy!" I asked her why I needed to wake up and she said "because I am awake now!" In a DUH kind of way. She loved all of her presents so much, but her favorite was her new snow white barbie. That is the only thing that she asked Santa for this year and she got it! She was way too spoiled! Liam was still to young to care, but he had fun playing with the empty boxes and wrapping paper more than his presents.
Liam was eating the left over peanut butter bar we left for Santa. All he does is EAT!

We spent time at Christian's parent and then went down to Spanish fork to see my great grandma K. It was so nice to spend time with her, especially since she had no where to go and she was so bored. I love her so much! After dinner and games at Christian's aunts house, I was worn out and ready for bed.

I know, this is a long post. I should really space it out and write a new post tomorrow on the rest....but I KNOW MYSELF, and I will probably let it go 2 months before I write again. I will just leave you with a list of future posts that I need to write about so that I will not forget.
1. Kennedy's first dance recital
2. Kennedy's video's
3. Life is hard
4. Liam and his new "words"

I will leave you with this funny video on how I bribed Kennedy to do something during Christmas. If you can't hear it, I am asking her to do something and she is saying no and crying. I tell her that I will show Santa this video of her being naughty, and this is what she says. TO get to the video, click here ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPYGfXrCzbg

Until next time. (because lets face it, I am lame!)

Horrible Blogger!

Why am I such a horrible blogger lately? OH YEAH! Maybe it is because I work all day, have 2 toddlers and spend any free time I have showering, cleaning my house or playing Frontierville! Lame, I know, but I need something fun in my life right now. The flu has been going around in my family this week, and so far (knock on wood), I am the only one who has not gotten it! Just watch, now that I wrote that on paper, I will be throwing up all night tonight. That would be my luck.

I just wanted to give everyone a quick update on life. Kennedy and I went to Texas 2 weeks ago for my 10 year high school reunion. I had so much fun hanging out with old friends and letting Kennedy hang out with her Grammy B for a while. My parents flew back to Utah on the same day as us to attend my Great grandpa K's funeral. Kennedy and I will be sad to not be able to go visit grandpa anymore. He always loved to see Kennedy and bounce her on his knee. He always loved to show her off to the people at his nursing home. It feels strange not to have him around to go visit and play Skip-Bo with anymore. We will miss him.

On another note, Kennedy is having fun with school and dance. Today was her first dance to perform. Only, she did not perform AT ALL!!! She stood there and cried the entire dance. I was so mad because her grandparents came to watch and record her and then all she did was cry. She has her big Christmas recital at the Festival of Trees in December. If she does not perform there, I may just take her out completely. Maybe it will be a funny story some day, but I was just MAD today. Please tell me your kid has done something like this so that I don;t feel so bad.

Liam is doing well also. He is just getting molars in, so he has not been a happy camper for the past week or so. He loves to run around with his sister and sing "ashes, ashes, ah, ah, ah." It is so cute. Kennedy really loves him (except for when he turns off her movies).

Overall, life is just really busy right now. Christian went back to school, so I have the kids ALL day at work, and then have them all night long while he goes to school from 6-9 each night. I hope it will all pay off soon. I feel like I have been so boring lately in all of my writing. Maybe I will get inspired to be fun and funny again soon.

Liam is ONE today!

I can not believe that my baby boy is one year old today! In some ways, it feels like he was just born yesterday. In other ways, I feel like I have never lived life without him! He is such a blessing to our family and continues to be such a sweet boy. He likes to try to do everything his big sister does. He also likes to annoy her by turning off the TV while she is watching it. Kennedy is a great big sister most of the time. She loves having him around to play with and she makes sure that we have him with us AT ALL TIMES! If I pretend like I am going to leave him somewhere, she starts to cry and says "No! I want my Liam!"

On Saturday, we had Liam's birthday party. We did a cowboy theme even though Christian thought it was kind of lame. I thought it was really cute! We had cowboy balloons, cowboy decorations and an AWESOME cowboy cake by Pink Peach Cakes. I actually won a cake of my choice on her blog! She did such a great job on it, don't you think?a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6Kekp18tujCGQ0k2BepfibjxrfLT3EQYCtuAbz7HQaotv2ZlprpzDbYkUAWD1YOnrWDbcx4TU_362Ftqgj6_krXDyU8mdBRPC3VbWFEUb2sPYvoIC9na9MsmEs_Wy_vlF7ZdWVzAFLV-z/s1600/IMG_0441.jpg">

Liam seemed to love his party. He loved all of his presents, especially since he did not have any toys of his own before yesterday. I guess it is the second child syndrome. Poor guy! Even though I don't take as many pictures or videos of him as I did with Kennedy, I love him just as much and am so happy that he is in our family. I love you Liam! Happy birthday!
