The Cutest Bee ever!

On Saturday night, we went to our old ward's Trunk or Treat. Kennedy was a bee this year, and I think she is the cutest little bee EVER! Apparently I was not the only one who thought that because she won the cutest costume! She won a pumpkin Halloween bag and said "yay yay!" even though she had no idea what was going on. She had so much fun running from car to car to get candy. She even went to the scary cars that had people in really scary costumes passing out the candy. She ran so far ahead of me and could not have cared less. It is so cute to see her finally understanding Halloween. Liam, of course, slept through the whole thing.
Her classic "I'm not smiling" face!
Winning best costume!
I took a few pictures this morning of the kids together. Liam was on the floor and Kennedy laid down next to him and loved on him. She loves when he is awake so that she can hug him and kiss him. She always says "him awake-p". Ya, she ads a P sound on the en of awake. I don't correct her because I think it is really cute. haha! I guess that is all I have to say for now. I am still just trying to get into the swing of things.

Funny Things

It was my first week home alone with 2 kids and can I can say that it was pretty tough! It is not because Liam is hard to take care of. He just eats and sleeps and NEVER cries. It is Kennedy that has been hard in every situation. It is funny because she will love on him and kiss him when he is on his boppy pillow, but as soon as I pick him up, she says "NO mommy! Baby Liam goes on the pillow!" She never wants me to touch or hold him, and if I do, she needs something right that second! I hope she adjusts soon.

On another note, Kennedy was so funny the other day and I WISH I had taken a picture. Kennedy was being quiet...too quiet. I went to look for her and I saw her in my bedroom playing with the breast pump. She held the pumps up to her shirt and looked confused that it was not working. She then lifted up her shirt and tucked it under her chin and tried again! She held the pumps in place and when it did not work, she just tossed them back on the floor. I thought that was soooo funny!

Funny story #2: My mom bought Kennedy a package that included all of the Disney princess dolls. Needless to say, she is in love with them and has to take them everywhere! The other day, she asked for a "hot tub" for her dolls. I filled a Tupperware with warm water so that she could pretend that was their tub. The next thing we knew, Kennedy had all of her clothes off...including her diaper...and was trying to fit into the Tupperware with the dolls! We almost died laughing! She ended up spilling the water everywhere, but it was worth it to see her trying so hard to fit in. HA HA!

Kennedy also decided that she does not want to use the potty anymore. I know when she is going potty because she locks herself in her room and opens the door when she is done. I have decided to just let her come to me on her own tome and not force it for now. I have about 100 diapers left for her. Once they are gone, we will try again.

As for Liam, he is the BEST baby ever. I have yet to hear him cry (except for when he was first born) and he sleeps almost all day and all night except to eat. He is such a sweet boy and I am so glad that he is home with us.

He is home!

Baby Liam got to come hoe yesterday...FINALLY! He is still on iv meds and it has been hard on me to give him his 2 medications through the iv twice. He gets one at 4:30 am and 4:30 pm and another at 5:30 am and 5:30 pm. Needless to say, that means NO sleep for me. I have to be up at 4:30 to give him his meds and stay up until the last one is done at around 6:00. Then, he is up and ready to eat at 6:00. Last night was the first night and I can say that I am exhausted! Christian took Kennedy out today so I am going to try and get some sleep. An update on Liam is that he is almost over his pneumonia. He is doing really well. I have to take him in on Monday for the doctor to check and see if it is gone and to check his jaundice. He had that pretty badly as well. He is a very good baby. In fact, he did not even cry when they drew his blood yesterday. Poor baby is so used to getting poked and prodded that he barley moves when I put his iv meds in.

As for his birth, I got to the hospital at 8:00am and my contractions started getting pretty bad at about 12:00 when I was 5 cm dilated. Since I thought that it would still be a few more hours, I got the epidural but kept it kind of low so that I could feel when I was having a contraction. I was feeling SOOOO much pressure about an hour after that I had Christian look under the sheet to see if his head was coming out. I really felt like he was coming out of my butt instead of the other way. Christian said "you are only 5 cm, he is not coming out!" But, I called the nurse for her to come and check. She came and said "you are 9 cm and about ready to push." I could not believe that I went from 5 to 9 cm in an hour! I was in labor with kennedy for 12 hours!!! The nurse and my doctor came back in a few minutes later and I stated to push. I could feel the contractions and the pressure of him coming out which was something I never felt with Kennedy. (I pushed the epidural button WAY too many times with her. haha!) I asked the nurse if I should push the epidural button while I pushed so that I could not feel it and she said "no honey...his head is almost out. Let's just have this baby." I was afraid because I had to push for an hour with Kennedy and I did not want that to happen when I could feel the pressure. Yes, I am a wimp okay! I pushed 3 times and his head was out. I pushed 3 more times and his whole body was out! In all, it took me 15 minutes to push him out. I could not believe how much easier this birth was than the last one. Just think, if I had not asked for the epidural when I did, it may have been too late. That is my worst nightmare! Liam came out healthy and scored a 9 on the apgar scale. They handed him to me and I go to have him the rest of the day, night and the next day. Sunday afternoon, they said that he was breathing way too fast and took him away. I thought that they would bring him right back. When the doctor told me that he would not be coming home with me the next day, I cried and cried.

This last week has been so hard on me. I hated seeing my baby poked over and over again! He had an iv in his foot, both hands and in his head 3 times! His poor heels are all bruised from having his blood drawn daily. He has red marks all over his skin and he is just so beat up. My poor baby!

I am so happy that he is finally home now and I can't wait until he gets his iv out of his head. I can barely stand that part. Thank you all for your prayers and support this past week. Happy week old birthday Liam!

Baby is Here!

Liam Christian Webb was born October 3 at 2:55 pm. He was 7 lb. 14 oz and 20 inches long. He stayed with me all day Saturday and the nurses took him away at about 4:00 on Sunday saying that he was having breathing problems. I will write everything in more detail as I have the time, but for now, I will just write that he has pneumonia. He is doing very well now, but he can not leave the hospital until his antibiotics have run their full course. It has been really hard for me to drive to the hospital to feed him and to pump when I am not there. But the hardest part has been neglecting Kennedy and she feels it big time. She slept in my bed last night after a HUGE crying session and she woke up 3 times saying "mommy?" just to make sure that I was still there. This is killing me! I am off to the hospital to feed him now, but I will write more later. Prayers are needed and welcomed!
