Way Behind!

As I said before, my family was here for almost 2 weeks and we have been going nonstop! That is the reason that I have not posted any pictures in a while. We did so many fun things while my parents were here. We went to Yellowstone, the grand Tetons, Lagoon (amusement park), Thanksgiving point, Seven Peaks water park, 24th of July carnival in Spanish Fork, to the movies to see "Dark Knight", and lots of other fun places! I am so sad that they are gone. I didn't even get to see them off because I was at the American Idol auditions. Now I have to catch up on blessings 11 and 12! p.s. These pictures are bad because they are all from my phone! I will post the good ones when I get my camera.

Blessing 11...Nature!

When we went to Yellowstone, I could not believe how beautiful the scenery was! There were beautiful waterfalls and streams snaking all across the land. There were elk and bison everywhere! We even saw a Bald eagle up in its nest! I have never seen one in the wild and it was beautiful! I am so grateful that heavenly father made the earth so diverse and beautiful! I will definitely have to visit there again
soon. I think it would be amazing to see in the winter with snow covering the hills and mountains. Another thing that I thought was cool was Old Faithful. I mean, who figured out that it went off every hour? It felt like someone pushed a button to make the thing shoot out water. Isn't it amazing that the Earth just does it on its own? Nature is so cool!

Blessing 12...Family

Having my family here made me realize how much I miss them when they are far away! They do so much to help us out and they don't expect anything in return! They had so much fun being with Kennedy and I loved watching them with her. I wish that we lived closer to them so that we could play like this all the time! My sister could not come because she was in a play in Houston. My brother, Kyle, came and Kennedy LOVED him! It was sad to see them go. : (

On a final note, Kennedy is a pro at walking now...and throwing fits! AHHHH! I didn't think it would happen so soon. So, just for kicks, here is a picture of her throwing a fit because the stroller got stuck when she was trying to push it around the house.

so, I did it! I finally tried out for American idol! My brother and I got in line at 5 am and met some great people! They were so hilarious and it made our time in line go by so quickly. When we got inside, we all had to sing group songs on camera and say some corny lines like "oh my heck! Welcome to Utah!" and. "what the fetch? Welcome to Utah". After about 2 hours of that nonsense and recording intos with Ryan seacrest, auditions finally began. We were in the second section and still had to wait until 1:00 to get our 20 seconds of fame. I sang really well and was proud of myself, but I was not suprised when the judges said they would not ask me to continue on. They rejected some really amazing singers and let a lot of strange people go through. The judge basically said "your a fine singer but you could be a bit stronger". My bro did not make it either. Honestly, I was not sad at all! I was releived that I could finally get some lunch and come home to my daughter. It was a fun experience, but one I will never repeat! Ha! I'm excited to watch in January to see who got through cause those judges were not kidding around!

Sorry! My family is here from Texas and I hardly ever get to see them so I will post as soon as they leave to tell you all the awesome things we have been doing! I have about a million pictures to post too! Until then, I wanted to ask you all something. Registration for American Idol is tomorrow and I still can't decide if I want to try out or not.
Cons
1. wait in line forever tomorrow to get a wrist band
2. have to get a copy of my birth certificate
3. Have to get in line at 5:00 am monday morning
4. wait another like 9 hours in line
5. get about 10 second to try to show off my voice
6. may just have to leave after 10 seconds of singing if they dont like what I do

Pros
1. I get to finally say I tried out
2. Maybe they will like me

That's it. A lot of hastles and cons but maybe I will kick myself if I dont do it. What do you think?

Blessing 10...BEST FRIENDS

I am so grateful for my friends! I love all of you who come read my blog and leave me cute comments. I love you Emily for always listening and making me laugh in any situation...HOLLA,CHA! I love you Veronica for giving me parental advice...even if I don't take all of it (like having my kids every 18 months. haha) I love you Mary for inviting me to come swimming when I am bored out of my mind. Sorry I have been flaky lately. I love you Leilani. Even though we have not talked on the phone in a while, I know you are there for me and I can't wait to see you again. I love yo Alicia for taking beautiful pictures of me and my child for the "friend" price. I love you Libby...and I hope we can hang out soon. I miss you and love reading your blog. I love the rest of you too. I would just be writing all day if I wrote about all of you individually. Keep writing in your blogs. I love keeping up with all of you and am grateful to have you all in my life.

Blessings 9 and 10

I messed up last time. It was supposed to be blessing 8. And since I am behind (as usual) I am posting blessings 9 and 10 on this post. First off, blessing 9 is definitely having a sense of humor and having friends with them too! A lot of my friends and I have been going through some hard times, and I am sure a lot of you have also. I think what gets me through it all is being able to laugh! I have some seriously fun friends who I love to laugh with and have "inside" jokes with. So in honor of this blessing, I just wanted to share a few "funny" things with you all.

1. I once grabbed some random guys butt at Target thinking it was my husband! I was so embarrassed once I realized it was not him. I looked at the ground and walked away as fast as I could! My friend Emily witnessed the whole thing!

2. Speaking of Emily, we have done some crazy stuff! When we lived in Hawaii, she would put a pink thong over her pants and dance to Britney Spears "I'm a Slave" just to make me laugh. haha. Love you Em!

3. I accidentally "tooted" on Christian and my 3rd date. I said "you might want to roll down the windows". He stared at me and I could tell he was trying not to laugh. I played it off, but I was embarrassed. (by the way, Christian claims he knew he wanted to marry me after that. Nasty hu?)

4. When I was a freshman in high school, I wrote a "fake" love letter to a senior I was in love with. I accidentally left it in a classroom overnight. The next day at school, It was posted up on the board and everyone had read it...including John Berry. I was humiliated! It sure is funny now though!

5. I once clogged the toilet and my boyfriends house. I tried plunging it, but it didn't work. WARNING: DO NOT READ PAST HERE IF YOU DONT WANT TO READ SOMETHING REALLY GROSS!!! well, I warned you. So, since the plunging didn't work, I got a huge wad of toilet paper and a plastic bag from under the sink. I then proceded to fish the contents of my bowels out of the toilet to place it in the plastic bag. The toilet then flushed, but I had to sneak out and throw the bag away outside. Very gross, I know, but very funny!

Anyway, humor is a cure all. You will all now see me differently. HA!

My girl is a WALKER!

I can't believe how fast Kennedy got so big! Just last Sunday, Kennedy took her first couple of steps. Ever since then, she has been taking more and more steps! It is so exciting, but kind of sad too. I want her to stay little in a way. She still crawls a lot when she wants to get somewhere quickly, but I am sure I will have a full on walker in the next couple of weeks! We are so proud of our little girl!

I have not really posted anything in the past couple of weeks so I am a little behind now. I will start from my birthday, July 1st. Since Christian had to work all day, my brother came up and we went to lunch at Fudruckers. Then we had a great time looking at model homes...we are lame hu? But I love looking at them and how they are decorated. It gives me ideas! That night, Christian and I went to see Hancock and then got a birthday cake for me! Overall, it was a pretty good day....Oh, and I got a new video ipod from my mom and I love it because it is pink!

The only other fun day was the 4th of July. We had a BBQ and Christian's mom's house and then went to Sandy city to look at the booths, get temporary tattoos and watch amazing fireworks set to patriotic songs. I love the fourth of July! Kennedy loved the fireworks and clapped her hands after a lot of them. It was so cute. Pictures will come later because my memory card was left out of the camera so I have to hook the camera up to get the pictures out. It's a pain!
(I just posted this cause her face looks so funny!)
Anyway, sorry for the long post. This was a very BUSY week (which I hardly ever have)so I did not get to post as much as I wanted to. I will end with this. You all have to see Get Smart at the movies. It is seriously one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time and I am going to buy it as soon as it comes out on DVD!

Happy Independence Day!

I am so grateful to live in a country where I am free to live a wonderful life! I am grateful for the many lives that were given to fight for my freedom! I am grateful to be able to worship as I please! And, I am grateful for freedom of speech...hence this blog! Happy Independence day everyone!
